Ramonde responded to an advert from Valley Development Projects five years ago for a volunteer position at the school. With just her matric done, she was encouraged by the Valley Development Projects to enroll at the False Bay College, and after four long years of training completed her Level 5 Qualification, achieving high marks in all her subjects.
She was appointed as a junior teacher at Green Curtains in 2012 while she completed her studies, and this year was promoted to teach Grade R, thereby earning a full Western Cape Education Department salary.
Ramonde is passionate about teaching and is now making a difference in the lives of her pupils. Empowerment Through Education salutes this wonderful lady who in spite of diversity, has made her mark, and will continue to do so.
