This exciting annual event is no longer just an exclusive beach catamaran sailing event. Since 2015 the race was changed to a multi-discipline event including sailing (all classes of beach multihulls welcome) surfski paddling and SUPing. Each discipline will have its own there-and-back challenge. The sailing catamarans will enjoy the usual Cape Point and back. Depending on the wind, this race can take anything from 2 to 6 hours.
The surfski and SUP race will be to Roman Rock lighthouse in Simonstown and back, which should take about 1 to 2 hours
Competitors, families and friends are encouraged to attend as the Fish Hoek Beach Sailing Club cater for a festive spectator-friendly day of sea-sports.
Please note: Entry forms are available from the Fish Hoek Beach Sailing Club clubhouse and must be submitted by 20h00 on Friday, 31 March 2017.
For any further information about the program please contact Mike Clapp on 072 951 1746.
As with previous years, this event is a fund-raiser for the National Sea Rescue Institute.
