The COVID-19 pandemic has presented many challenges to students, educators, and E-T-E. Children have been especially vulnerable to the changes, and now we are learning about the broad impacts on students as a result of physically distancing guidelines and isolation, and other unexpected changes to their lives.
Apart from the devastating health consequences for those directly affected by the virus, the COVID-19 pandemic holds major implications for the way students live and work, affecting their physical and mental well-being in profound ways.
Our students persevered during these new difficult times, with the support of Silvermine Academy, always willing to adjust to each individuals needs and Empowerment Through Education staff willing to help and assist not only at school but in their home environment too.
We are extremely proud of the achievements they made despite the challenges some of them faced during this past academic year.
