Toni Beardon and two colleagues visited the ETE kids last week. Chad is from Canada and working for 6 months with Toni and Eddie from DRC who is developing Maths games for kids.
The Kids are in their final term of 2017, before closing for the December holidays. Exciting times lie ahead as the next 6 are prepped for their High School intake and next step of their educational journey.
Our children and others have had a really bad week with all the protesting in their townships. There was the Masiphumelele taxi strike on Monday 18th September, and from Tuesday the 19th on, the protests against violence in Ocean View....
The Annual Spring Splash festival on Fish Hoek Beach took place on the 3rd September and the ETE children were there to celebrate the start of Spring. They even wore branded t-shirts saying "I am an ETE Kid."
We have a new ETE fellow... Welcome Siphiwe Dlamini to the programme, he has been enrolled in Grade R at the Sun Valley Primary School, one of the most highly integrated schools in South Africa.
